• Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu |1300 m Our team member picks you up at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival and transfers you to your hotel in Kathmandu. (Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu).
• Day 02: Kathmandu: Trek preparation In the morning, we will meet for a pre-trip meeting to introduce you to the basics of the trekking briefly. We will provide lists of gears and equipments for the trekking. We will take care of all the legal documents and permits required for the trek along with the formal briefing at the Ministry of Tourism. These formalities are required to prevent any legal issues that can be raised before or after the expedition. (Overnight at the hotel).
• Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu - Lukla |2,800 m|, Trek Lukla -Phakding |2,652 m|3-4 Hrs We will fly to Lukla early in the morning enjoying the stunning view of the snow-capped mountains and mid hills throughout the flight. Upon reaching Lukla, we begin our first day of trekking to Phakding by gradually ascending along the bank of the Dudh Koshi River. We continue to climb up on a small path passing through few villages, monasteries, and shrines to reach Phakding. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 04: Trek from Phakding -Namche Bazaar |3,440 m|5-6 Hrs Today we will head towards Namche Bazaar which is also known as “the Gateway to Everest”. Moving alongside the Dudh Koshi River, we will gradually climb uphill and cross several suspension bridges before entering the Sagarmatha National Park. Enjoying the view of glistening Mt. Thamserku (6608m) in the background, we will pass through the village of Monjo and Jorsalle to reach Namche Bazaar which offers the first sight of Mt. Everest (8848m). (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 05: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar |3,440 m We will spend the day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize. We can take a short hike up to the Everest View Hotel to enjoy a panoramic view of the mighty Everest (8848m). We will also visit the local museum in Namche that exhibits the customs of Sherpa people along with the history of the Everest region. Later in the evening, we can also take stroll around the village talking with locals about their rich culture and lifestyle. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 06: Namche Bazaar - Dhole |4,110 m|5-6 Hrs Leaving Namche behind, we will take a sharp ascend that will lead us to the village of Kyangjuma which offers stunning views of Thamserku (6608m), Kangtega (6685m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). From there, we will make another steep climb to pass the Mong La, a charming place perched on the spur of Mt. Khumbila (5761m). Then we will follow the trail through rhododendron forest, few waterfalls, and bridges to reach Dhole. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 07: Dhole – Machhermo|4,470 m|5-6 Hrs From Dhole, we will make a gentle ascend via a ridge to Lhabarma followed by Luza where we will pass through many summer settlements of the locals. Relishing the stunning views of Cho Oyu (8188m) and Taboche (6367m), we will walk along the scenic hillside above Dudh Koshi River to reach the village of Machhermo. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 08: Machhermo – Gokyo Valley |4800 m|4-5 Hrs Next day we will head towards Gokyo following the Dudh Koshi valley. We will ascend through a ridge enjoying the view of Cholatse (6335m) and Cho Oyu (8188m). The trail slowly widens and reaches the village of Pangga. We will pass through the high alpine zone of Ngozumpa Glacier followed by the first three lakes of Gokyo Valley i.e. Longponga, Taujung Tsho, and Dudh Pokhari. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 09: Acclimatization Day at Gokyo Valley We will take another day off trekking and spend the day in Gokyo valley to adjust with the thinning air. We will explore around Gokyo valley hiking to the fourth and fifth lakes. The viewpoint at fifth lake offers stunning views of Cho Oyu (8188m) and Ngozumpa Glacier. Then we will return to Gokyo valley for the overnight stay.
• Day 10: Hike to Gokyo Ri |5,330 m| than to Thangnak |4750 m|5-6 Hrs We will take an early morning hike to Gokyo Ri (5330m) via a steep trail which can be quite strenuous. Once we reach the top, we will be rewarded with one of the best views of Cho Oyu (8188m), Chamar (7287m), Cholatse (6440m), Everest (8848m), and other many peaks along with the crystal clear view of first three lakes during sunrise. Then we will descend to Gokyo village and follow the trail through Ngazumpa Glacier to reach Thangnak. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 11: Trek from Thangnak - Cho-la Pass |5420 m| - Lobuche |4940 m|9-10 Hrs Leaving behind Thangnak, we will follow the rocky and slippery path that crosses a ravine. We will trek through the side of a frozen lake to reach the top of Cho La (5420m), which is decorated with prayer flags. The top of the pass offers stunning views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Cholatse (6335m), Lobuche (6145m), Pumori (7165m), and many more. We also need to pass through some crevasses to reach Dzongla which also offers beautiful views of different mountain peaks. From Dzongla, we will descend to Lobuche walking through a grassy trail. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 12: Trek from Lobuche- Everest Base Camp |5364 m|- Gorak Shep |5170 m|6-7 Hrs Relishing the amazing view of Lobuche Peak (6145m) in the background, we will trek through the alpine forest. Then we will pass through the rocky dunes, lateral moraine of Khumbu Glacier, and streams all the way to the top of the edge of Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp offers a mesmerizing view of Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Khumbuste (6636m), and Pumori (7161m) along with the amazing view of Khumbu Icefall. We trek back to Gorakshep for the overnight stay.
• Day 13: Trek from Gorak Shep - Kala Patthar |5545 m| - Lobuche |4940 m|7-8 Hrs We will take an early morning hike up to Kala Patthar viewpoint to see the beautiful view of the sunrise over the Himalayas. We can also witness the awe-inspiring up-close view of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Khumbutse (6665m), Nuptse (7861m), Lingtren (6749m), Pumori (7165m), and so on. After spending some time taking pictures, we will trek down to Lobuche passing few villages along the way. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 14: Trek from Lobuche - Kongma La |5,535m|- Chhukung |4,730m|6-7 Hrs Today we will trek through the icy Khumbu Glacier moraine to reach Kongma La Base Camp. The path to Kongma La (5535m) is quite steep and strenuous. Once we reach the top, we can see cairns wrapped in prayers flags to mark the pass. We will take a steep descend to Imja Khola valley. We will continue to descend until we reach Chhukhung, which hosts amazing views of Island Peak (6189m). (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 15: Trek from Chhukung -Island Peak Base camp |5,200m|4-5 Hrs Today we will head towards Island Peak Base Camp ascending on a steep trail. We will continue to climb south then turn east to the main line of the valley that leads us to the winding path of the moraine that flow from the Lhotse Glacier. We will pass through the crisscross path of Imja to finally reach the Island Peak Base Camp. (Overnight at camp).
• Day 16: Island Peak Base Camp - Island High Camp |5,600m|2-3 Hrs Leaving behind the Island Peak Base Camp, we will head towards the High Camp climbing through several short rock steps. We will also trek along the steep hillside followed by sandy and grassy path before becoming boulder strewn. Upon reaching the High Camp, our experienced guide will engage you in pre-climbing training to help you boost your confidence. (Overnight at tented camp).
• Day 17: Trek from High camp to summit to Base camp to Chhukung|9-10 Hrs This will be the main day of our trekking journey. We will wake up early in the morning to summit the Island Peak (6189m). Ascending through the rocky and steep trail, we will make our way up on a wide stone field. We will also ascend via crevasses and glaciers along the route. With the support of the rope, we will cross the snow and ice slope to reach the top of the peak. Upon reaching, we will be rewarded with the most beautiful view of different mountain peaks, including Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), and Makalu (8463m). Then we will retrace our trail down to Island Peak Base Camp followed by Chhukhung. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 18: Reserve Day for Contingency As we will be summiting one of the remote mountains of Khumbu, we cannot be confirmed about the weather condition. Therefore, we will keep this extra day as a contingency in case we are not able to climb the ascent of the peak as per plan due to bad weather condition or bad health condition.
• Day 19: Trek from Chhukhung |4343m| to Namche Bazaar|3,440 m|8-9 Hrs Leaving behind Chhukhung, we will head to Namche Bazaar passing through many Sherpa villages. We will be descending to Imja Khola and trek through the forested path filled with blooming rhododendrons, oaks, pines and juniper. We will also cross few bridges over Dudh Koshi River and walk past Chortens, stupas, and Mani walls to reach Namche Bazaar. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 20: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla|6-7 Hrs For our last day of trekking, we will be heading towards Lukla descending on a steep trail. On our way, we will cross few suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi River and walk through a forested path filled with rhododendrons. Enjoying the distant views of snow-capped mountains, we will also pass through several Sherpa villages, Chortens, stupas, and prayers flags along the way to Lukla. (Overnight at lodge).
• Day 21: Fly from Lukla –Kathmandu|40 Mins We will fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla, early in the morning, enjoying the last glimpse of the massive snowy mountains. Upon reaching the capital, we will transfer you back to your respective hotel and give the rest of the day to yourself to enjoy and relax. (Overnight at the hotel).
• Day 22: Rest day in Kathmandu After our long and tiring journey, we will give you a day to yourself to rest and relax. You can also stroll around the markets of Kathmandu to buy souvenirs to take back to friends and family. We will host a farewell dinner in the evening to enjoy and celebrate the success of our journey. (Overnight at the hotel).
• Day 23: Departure We will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight to your home country, hoping to see you again.
